11th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium: The Energy & Climate Change Committee of the CCI France Grèce has organized its own thematic panel
Theme: “The New Energy Operating System: Stability, Storage & Synergy”
Rethinking the “operating system” of the Greek energy market to ensure that major green investments remain both viable and productive was at the heart of the high-level panel discussion hosted by the Energy & Climate Change Committee of CCI France Grèce during the 11th Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE) Energy Transition Symposium on Wednesday, May 27.
Held under the theme “The New Energy Operating System: Stability, Storage & Synergy”, the discussion was moderated by Spiros Raptis, General Manager Greece & Cyprus at Schneider Electric and Chairman of the Energy & Climate Change Committee of CCI France Grèce. The panel brought together leading industry representatives from Greece and France to exchange views on the challenges and opportunities of the clean energy transition.
The discussion focused on maximizing renewable energy yield through technical solutions aimed at reducing curtailments and safeguarding project profitability, leveraging French expertise in grid resilience and innovation to support the development of future-ready energy infrastructure, as well as the integration of battery storage into the wholesale electricity market and its role in balancing the national energy mix.
The session was preceded by a keynote address by H.E. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of France to the Hellenic Republic, on “France & Greece: The Strategic Industrial Alliance”. In her address, Ambassador Auer highlighted the strategic importance of Franco-Hellenic cooperation in advancing decarbonization and sustainable energy solutions, with particular emphasis on transport decarbonization as a key pillar of bilateral collaboration.
