HAEE: The Energy & Climate Change Committee of the CCI France Grèce has organized its own thematic panel, on Tuesday June 3rd.
A high-impact panel where perspectives from French and Greek enterprises sparked a powerful dialogue on shaping a sustainable, resilient, and competitive energy future ,driven by innovation, investment, and collaboration.
This was the focus of the session hosted by the Energy & Climate Change Committee of the French Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the 10th HAEE Energy Transition Symposium, titled:
"THE NEW ENERGY EQUATION: RENEWABLES AND INFRASTRUCTURE"
Moderated by Ioannis Vassardanis, Vice President of the Chamber and Coordinator of the Committee, the discussion featured leading executives from both countries, who shared strategic insights and practical views on the clean energy transition.
Topics explored included:
- RES integration and grid stability challenges
- The impact of curtailments and negative pricing on IPPs
- Regulatory frameworks: obstacle or accelerator?
- Infrastructure and smart grids enabling RES growth
- Business cooperation as a transition catalyst
- Industry's shift toward PPAs and flexible energy models
- Green hydrogen in Greece and the long-awaited regulatory framework
The session concluded with a keynote by H.E. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of France to the Hellenic Republic, highlighting the strategic importance of Franco-Hellenic collaboration in building a decarbonized energy future.
